Gas Cartridge Actuator
Faster Response - Lower Cost.

 
The Fike GCA (Gas Cartridge Actuator), used to activate explosion suppression and explosion isolation systems, is four times faster than previous actuators utilized, greatly lowering system maintenance costs and increasing system reliability. The GCA offers many advantages over conventional detonators:
  • Response Time - Reaction time is much faster. Faster systems result in fewer false activations and the ability to protect more severe explosion hazards. In addition, lower total suppressed pressures are obtained because the explosion has been stopped earlier in its development...resulting in lower equipment costs since equipment strength can be lower.
